Police search for driver of fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Adamo Drive in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Adamo Drive in Tampa.

Police responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian call around 4:15 a.m., the crash happened near the 6900 block of Adamo Drive.

 

 

The pedestrian, 41-year-old Christopher Magdic, was walking west in the eastbound lanes of Adamo Drive when an eastbound vehicle struck him. The vehicle failed to stop, leaving Magdic injured in the road.

Magdic later died of his injuries, according to TPD. 

Eastbound Adamo Drive shut down between 50th Street and Orient Road as police investigated.

At this time, Tampa Police have not identified the driver of the vehicle.
