The Riverview Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that a local mother reported finding a prescription pill inside  her 3-year-old's Halloween candy.

The Chamber says that the mother reportedly found a Tramadol pill loosely in her son's bag after attending their Trick or Treat Street event on Saturday.

The Valrico mother provided these images to ABC Action News of the pill found in her child's candy bag:

She also shared the photos on Facebook "My kids and I attended Trick or Treat Street tonight and I just poured out my 3 year olds candy bag to check and sort it and found this. Thought people should be aware and reminded to always check candy, even from vendors/businesses."

Macaroni Kid Brandon, a community newsletter and website listing events and activities for kids and their families in their hometown also posted the photos warning parents to, "Please remember to check your kids' candy".

The Chamber says they have put the event on for 29 years and this has never happened. They said they don't think this was malicious or intentional, but simply an accident.
