SARASOTA, Fla. — A man in Venice is facing charges after he stole two bottles of wine, cheese dip and a car from a Nokomis garage, the sheriff's office says.
Deputies took 23-year-old Joseph Valderrama into custody on Thursday after responding to calls for a suspicious person in the 400 block of Anchorage Drive.
Valderrama was found standing near a disabled vehicle close to the neighborhood where the burglary occurred, deputies say. He was covered in dirty and apparent cheese dip.
At the scene, deputies found a car from the garage removed and locked in the driveway. Pictures show the hood covered in the stolen cheese dip.

The keys to the car were found inside a fridge in the garage. They were also covered in cheese dip, the sheriff's office says.
Deputies also say they found the bottles of wine, with one partially empty, at the scene.
Valderrama was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and one county of vehicle theft. He is in the Sarasota County Jail on a $10,500.
