A driver is being sought after hitting two homes and fleeing the scene of the accident late Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 11:15 p.m. at 63rd Avenue West and Holland Boulevard in Manatee County, a vehicle traveled into the raised center median, according to FHP. The driver overcorrected to re-enter the westbound lanes. As a result, the driver lost control and rotated in a clockwise direction across the westbound lanes, traveling onto the north shoulder.
The vehicle hit a fence and continued in a westbound direction, hitting "two private residences," according to an FHP report.
The driver then fled the scene in a 1999 E250.
Anyone with information on the incident is being encouraged to call FHP at 239-938-1800.
