Suspect surrenders to SWAT team with guns drawn at Auburndale home

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The SWAT team was called a home on Berkley Road in unincorporated Auburndale on Tuesday.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Darren Fulbright, 19, barricaded himself inside his father's home just after 10 a.m. and threatened to kill himself.

Deputies responded to the residence after Fulbright's father called police to report that his son stole his SUV from Southern Milling and Lumber in Lakeland.

When deputies arrived, Fulbright came out of the home armed with a shot gun and went back inside.  According to a release, Fulbright did not point the gun at deputies.

After over 3 hours of negotiating, Fulbright walked out of the house again and surrendered. ( Watch v ideo from Action Air 1 in the media player)
