Lakeland Electric offering assistance after bills were burned in tractor-trailer crash last week

LAKELAND - Lakeland Electric will be providing assistance to customers whose mail may have got burned after a fiery crash between a dump truck and a tractor trailer carrying electric bills earlier this month. 

The crash happened on March 21, and temporarily shut down both lanes southbound on I-75 between CR 54/SR 54 and SR 56.

The billing dates involved were March 11 and 12.

If you never received your bill for that billing cycle, you are asked to contact Lakeland Electric Customer Service at to receive a copy of your bill.
