Polk County Sheriff donates bike to 13-year-old battling cancer after his was stolen

LAKE WALES, Fla. — After a mother's plea on Facebook for a young boy's stolen bike to be returned, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd stepped in.

Daylin Campbell, 13, got his new bike for Christmas. But, he hadn't been able to ride it because he had been feeling too weak.

Daylin was diagnosed with a Leukemia (AML) on May 2 of last year. He's been hospitalized numerous times from May 2 to December 14 of last year with every few visits home in between chemo treatments.

On Wednesday, Cori Shea posted a plea on Facebook on behalf of Daylin, her son's best friend.

When Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd got wind of the news it, "just didn't sit well," and he stepped in to help with others from the sheriff's office.

They surprised Daylin with a donated bike to cheer him up.

But, the good news doesn't stop there because Daylin is now in remission!
