PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — The bomb squad investigated an unknown object near the CW Bill Young VA campus in Pinellas County on Thursday.
Around 5:30 p.m. authorities said the object was disassembled and was no longer a threat. They did not comment further on what the object was.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of an unknown object at the center just after 1 p.m. The object was found inside the east gate entrance nearest to the Veterans Benefits building.
No other information was immediately available.
