Skateboard getaway after stealing television from Clearwater Target

A man stole a television from a Super Target in Clearwater on Wednesday night, and got away from employees by taking off on a skateboard.
Police said the man was in the store for just three minutes right around closing time at 11:00 p.m.  Surveillance video shows the man looking at cell phone cases and skateboarding through the store with a 32-inch TV in his hands.
When store personnel confronted him near the store's exit, he brandished a utility knife and then ran out the door, TV and skateboard in his hand. Once outside, he jumped on the skateboard and headed toward
Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. He last was seen heading eastbound.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with a thin build. He is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 150 lbs.
He was wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans, green Nike shoes and had a black backpack. The skateboard was brown with orange-yellow wheels.
Anyone with information on the suspect in the robbery and aggravated assault should call Clearwater Police at 562-4242.
