A love letter long forgotten is found. And now its homeward bound after 60 years

Lost love letter found in storage

A love letter penned 60 years ago has been found in a storage locker. Now it's on its way home to Clearwater.
Fred Haas' brother, Lamonte, wrote the letter at age 25 to his young wife Betty Lou as he flew missions over Europe as a B-17 squadron commander. How it ended up in storage is unknown. But it was found and turned into the United States Veterans Affairs Office in Reno, Nevada.
Someone took it upon himself to track down Haas, who lives in Clearwater.
Haas plans to give the letter and about 400 others to Lamonte's granddaughter in North Carolina.
