Tampa man unharmed after his vehicle was struck by 6 bullets along I-4

TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa man was unharmed after FHP said his car was struck by six bullets Sunday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol said around 2:23 p.m., troopers responded to a shooting incident that happened along westbound I-4 near the exit ramp to Hillsborough Ave.

The victim, a 35-year-old man, said that while he was driving on I-4, at the exit, a black Hyundai sedan drove up to the side of the victim's Toyota sedan.

He said he heard gunshots as his car and was struck by six bullets, hitting the car from the trunk to the driver's door.

The victim suffered not life-threatening injuries.

After the shooting, the suspects continued driving westbound on I-4.

The victim said the black Hyundai sedan was occupied by three Black males.
