A jealous ex decided to shoot up his former lover's home with a pellet gun, Citrus County deputies say.
Justin Bladl, 31, is now charged with shooting into a dwelling.
According to deputies, Bladl's ex girlfriend of three years and her new fiance were awakened around 3 a.m. Wednesday when they heard a loud noise. The couple says they looked around but did not see or hear anything further.
In the morning, the couple found a projectile on their bedroom floor and a shattered window, deputies say.
Deputies say Bladl sent text messages to his ex apologizing for shooting at her house and confessing he was out to hurt her new fiance.
Bladl also called his ex's house while deputies were there and reportedly said he intended to kill the fiance, an arrest affidavit shows.
According to Bladl's ex, he had moved to Colorado for several years and began texting and calling her when he recently moved back to Citrus County. According to the ex, Bladl made several death threats towards her fiance.
Deputies say Bladl denied any knowledge of the incident when first questioned.
An arrest affidavit states Bladl later confessed to shooting into the home.
He is being held on $10,000 bond.
