Hernando County deputies say a woman's laptop was used against her in a fight

BROOKSVILLE, Fla - Hernando County deputies say a husband used his wife's laptop as a weapon against her during a fight.

Joshua Wieder, 34, of 15086 Bailey Hill Road in Weeki Wachee, is now charged with domestic battery.

Deputies say Wieder and his wife got into an argument at their home Monday over who was going to do their children's laundry.

The argument turned physical when Wieder reportedly grabbed the laptop his wife was working on and jammed it into her midsection, according to an arrest report.

Deputies say Wieder's wife then grabbed a can of soda and threw it at her husband, which he blocked with the laptop.

When Wieder's wife began cleaning up the mess, authorities say Wieder jumped into his wife's face, grabbed a hold of her forearms and dug his fingernails into both forearms resulting in scratch marks.

Wieder is then accused of jamming his finger into his wife's jaw.

Wieder was arrested and is being held without bond at the Hernando County Jail.
