Hernando County deputies say a Spring Hill woman threw soup and plates at man

SPRING HILL, Fla - Madeline Rodriguez of Spring Hill is charged with domestic battery after she threw plates and soup at a man, according to Hernando County deputies.

Rodriguez, 52, of 442 Hollyhock Lane, Spring Hill, was intoxicated when she got into a fight with the man at her home Monday, an arrest report states.

Deputies say Rodriguez threw two plates at the man and then threw a pot of soup off the stove at him.  They added that she then ripped off the man's shirt and scratched his left arm.

It is not clear what Rodriguez's relationship is with the man or what the argument was over.

An arrest report states that when deputies arrived at the home, the man was drenched in soup and had four scratch marks on his body.

The kitchen was also covered in soup with broken dishes and there was a bent aluminum pot on the floor, deputies say.

Rodriguez was arrested and reportedly admitted to throwing the plates and the pot of soup.

She is behind held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 3.
