A 48-year-old Ocoee man was killed on Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in Hernando County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 3:45 p.m., a 2005 Honda motorcycle was headed south on Weatherly Road approaching the intersection of Rattler Lane. The motorcycle traveled southeast into the northbound lane of Weatherly Road and continued onto the east shoulder of Weatherly Road and overturned on its left side, according to FHP.
The motorcycle eventually hit a wire fence at 25038 Rattler Lane, rotated and stopped, according to FHP.
The motorcyclist was taken to Bayfront Health Brooksville, where he later died from his injuries.
