Rescues in Action for Sunday, February 2

TAMPA - These sweet animals come to us from a special adoption group that works with veterinarians, the Veterinary Center of Fishawk.

Evie is a one to two year old "Chi-Weenie," a mix of a Dachshund and a Chihuhua. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative and fully vaccinated. She was found on New Year's Eve in Plant City and is looking for a new home in the new year. She loves laps, walks and runs and loves other dogs and children.

Mr. Pickles is three to four year old mixed breed (Brussels GriffonTerrier/Chihuhua) who was found by the Brandon Swim & Tennis Club. One of their team members rescued Mr. Pickles dog brought him to the vet.  He is an intact male who needs to be neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested.  He is fully vaccinated and very friendly and affectionate. It is unknown how he is with children or cats, but seems to get along with other dogs.

Squirrel is a 12-13 week old Chorkie (Chihuhua/Yorkie mix) who was brought to the vet office, because of unaltered pets in someone's home.  She is extremely energetic & lovable.  She gets along with other dogs & cats and would be a great addition to anyone's home.  She needs additional puppy vaccinations and to be spayed.

Tortoro is a gray & white domestic short haired feline and is approximately 6 months old.  He is a neutered, fully vaccinated Felv/FIV negative kitten.  He was dropped off at the vet office by a client who found him on the street.  He is rambunctious and lovable and needs to be in a home that will have him as an "indoor" only cat.
