Here are 5 things you need to know happening in Florida on Tuesday, May 28.
1. Bond hearing for Manatee County deputy
A bond hearing is set for this morning for Lt. Dale Couch, a Manatee County deputy accused of molesting children.
Couch was arrested last Thursday on three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. He is a 20-year veteran of the sheriff's department.
The sheriff's office says Couch's arrest followed an investigation that began last summer when he allegedly touched a 9 year old and a 12 year old inappropriately. The children's mother reported the incidents to the Sheriff's office. Couch has been on administrative leave since August of 2012.
His bond hearing is set for 9:00 a.m.
2. New Taco Bus opening in Brandon
A new Taco Bus restaurant is opening on Falkenburg Road in Brandon today! The Mexican restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
The popular restaurant has "become a Tampa institution in just 10 years," according to a Tampa Bay Times report.
It has been featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on Food Network and Adam Richman's "Man Vs. Food" on the Travel Channel.
The Times report says the Brandon location will be the largest Taco Bus yet -- with seating for about 100 people inside and another 40 outside.
