5 things to know for Saturday, December 21, 2013

TAMPA BAY - 1. The S.S. American Victory will host Tampa's annual Christmas Boat Parade of Lights. Families can come out and support the WWII floating museum as well as see Christmas lights around the area from atop the ship.  The Boat Parade of Lights starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for kids and seniors. 

2. Gulfport is having their third annual Art Walk. Strollers can shop local stores for last minute gifts at the waterfront art district from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There is no admission to the event. 

3. Manatee County Area Transit is having their Tour of Lights. The 90 minute ride takes people through local neighborhoods in west Bradenton to see holiday lights. Admission is an unwrapped toy, or non-perishable food item. Passengers should arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to get a seat on the bus. Pick up is at Building 29 of State College of Florida located at 5840 26th Street  West. 

4. With four days left to get in last minute shopping for Christmas, this is the weekend to head out and get Christmas shopping done. 

5. Tarpon Springs is having their Christmas market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pick up last minute gifts. Parking and entrance is free so more money to spend on presents. Head to 910 Pinellas Ave, Tarpon Springs.
