Leto High School on lockdown after shots fired at nearby apartment complex

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY - Officials have placed Leto High School on lockdown after shots were fired at a nearby apartment complex.

An emergency call was placed about a small fight at the Lake Pointe Apartments located at 7202 Manhattan Avenue in Tampa.

There were four to five juveniles involved in the fight and there was a report of gun shots being heard.

As a result, Leto High School went on lock down. The students who hadn't already left campus for the day had to stay at school.

Deputies searched the area and didn't find anyone who had been shot.

They are currently taking a misdemeanor battery report from one of the juveniles in the fight. The lockdown is expected to be released shortly.

The investigation continues.
