PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A Pinellas County breast cancer survivor is helping others on their first day of cancer treatment.

Anne Coletti started created survivor bags for current patients. Inside those bags are things like socks, lip balm, crossword puzzles, and a journal.

"I included a letter to let them know that they're not alone; that the seat that they are sitting in was probably one that I was sitting in. So they are wrapped in my love," says Coletti.

Mease Countryside Hospital is now assembling the bags with Anne's inspiring letter.

Anne, along with other patients and survivors, was honored at the Clearwater Thresher's Pitch for Pink night at Spectrum Field.

The event raises money and awareness for the importance of early detection.
