Greg and Kate have entered the empty-nest time in life and moved to Manhattan after 20 years in the suburbs. Greg is struggling with his job while Kate is excited about teaching opportunities and newfound freedom. Greg finds Sylvia, a street-smart lab/poodle mix, and brings her home. She promptly becomes a bone of contention between Greg and Kate, to a hilarious and touching effect. A smart, playful, sophisticated and occasionally gritty comedy about relationships, nature, and growing older.
