Fans first swooned over Matt James as a prospective suitor for Clare Crawley's season of "The Bachelorette" before the announcement that he would be taking on the role as the lead of his own love story as the first black bachelor in the ABC series' history.

We sit down with Matt James and find out how he navigated many 'unnatural situations,' as he called them while filming the show. Plus, how he was able to tell which contestants were really nice, and genuine at their core!
