Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S., and accounts for only 4% of all American cancer survivors. Every two and a half minutes, someone in America is diagnosed with lung cancer, with more than an estimated 230,000 new cases this year. 
The American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE is an initiative that unites lung cancer survivors and their loved ones to stand together against lung cancer and for lung health. The truth is that anyone can get lung cancer, and no one deserves it.

During National Women’s Lung Health Week (May 6-12), actress and LUNG FORCE Hero Shantel VanSanten – who lost her grandmother to lung cancer – and CVS Health’s Eileen Howard Booneare available to help viewers understand the burden of lung cancer and let them know what they can do to help support their loved ones and take action. 

As the national presenting sponsor of LUNG FORCE, CVS Health is committed to raising funds and support for lung cancer education, awareness and research. CVS Pharmacy customers can visit any of its 7,900 stores May 6-26 to support LUNG FORCE by making a donation of $1, $3 or larger at the register. Customers can also access discounts to quit smoking resources and learn easy ways to help their communities become tobacco-free, which is key to making a difference against lung cancer.
