ABOUT NATIONAL CHEAT DAY:
Datz is a South Tampa restaurant that decided the best way to celebrate their 7th birthday was to throw a national foodie holiday. National Cheat Day started with a bang on January 28, 2016. National Cheat Day takes place now on the fourth (4th) Thursday in January each year.
Datz opened on January 28 in 2009 and is known for its "stunt foods" like The Cheesy Todd (a burger with fried mac n' cheese “buns"), Buffalo Cauliflower (an enormous head of cauliflower that’s fried and dipped in delicious buffalo sauce), Mac n' Cheese Stuffed Meatloaf, and more. Datz is known as "your cheat day destination since 2009" and is proclaiming the fourth Thursday in January each year as NATIONAL CHEAT DAY.
Datz’s goal is to entertain foodies with dreamy dishes that in our modern, health-conscious society are sometimes thought of as foods to enjoy on a “cheat day” or a "day off", and we’re okay with that, because we know we’ve been your “cheat day” destination since 2009. Datz wants to invite foodies to take part in “National Cheat Day” by enjoying their favorite sweets & carbs in a fun, tasty celebration. Welcome to the table— now pass the chips.
