The journey began in 1955 when Stewart Matter Sr. became a sales representative for Simmons Mattress Company. After 20 years of success, he set his sights on Ft. Myers, Florida, where he relocated, settled and ultimately raised his family. Over the years, his sons, Stewart II, David, Tom, John, and Gary followed in his footsteps. Since joining the business, the brothers have grown the it to be one of the Top 100 Furniture Retailers in the country.
