Youth homelessness is a real issue in the Tampa Bay area!
LGBT youth and young adults account for up to 40% of all homeless youth while only
accounting for 7% of youth population. Unmarried parenting youth and young adults
are 200% more likely to become homeless.
Family Resources has taken the lead in Pinellas County to bring together community
stakeholders to address the needs homeless and housing insecure youth to ensure a
continuum of care from helping youth remain in their homes to finding permanent housing if necessary.
