The Tampa Bay area is known to host some of the largest events in the country in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This year things look a little different, due to the Coronavirus.
A lot of events have been postponed but many will continue on as planned, virtually!

St. Petersburg’s giant MLK Dream Big Parade will be held virtually at 11 a.m. on Jan. 18th.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Banquet, bringing leaders from across the area to St. Petersburg’s Coliseum. Held virtually Friday, January 15th at 7:30 p.m.
St. Petersburg will hold one limited capacity live event: The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dance Showcase. It will be held on Sunday January 17th, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Campbell Park Sports Complex, 601 14th St. S.

The Plant City MLK Parade has also been postponed until April 3.
Tampa city’s parade is postponed, with plans to combine it with Juneteenth celebrations in the summer. It is currently scheduled to be held on June 19 at Cuscaden Park.
