March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month Colonoscopy saves lives through early detection.

Screening is recommended for everyone beginning at age 50, for African Americans at age 45, and for those with a first-degree relative diagnosed with cancer, 10 years before the youngest case in the family (if your mother was diagnosed at 45, you should be screened beginning at 35).
