2oz Irish Whiskey
.75oz Lemon Juice
.75oz Simple Syrup
Muddle apple in shaker tin. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice. Strain into glass. Garnish with an apple slice.
Note: add bitters for a Full Nelson.
To make a punch: peel 3 lemons with a veg peeler and muddle with 6oz white sugar in a punch bowl. Let this sit for at least an hour. Add 6oz fresh lemon juice and stir to dissolve. Strain off peels. Add one bottle of Irish whiskey (750ml). Add a cup of good apple cider, or juice fresh apples for a brighter taste. Add water to dilute to taste, usually 3-4 cups. Adjust sweetness or acidity. Grate fresh nutmeg on top and have fun!
