In 1961 at an airport in Paris, Soviet ballet superstar Rudolf Nureyev escaped from his KGB handlers and defected to the West. It was the first and most famous Cold War defection and is the subject of a new film produced and directed by Ralph Fiennes. "White Crow" follows Nureyev from his birth on a Transsiberian train to the dramatic showdown at Le Bourget airport. Opening this weekend at theaters locally.
