Rodney Dunigan

From anchoring, reporting and producing Rodney has done it all! Currently, Rodney is a reporter for the ABC Action News team. Prior he served as the morning anchor at WATN in Memphis, TN. Before my time in Memphis, Rodney was in Middle-Tennessee where he worked for market leader and Action News sister-station WTVF in Nashville. He wore plenty of hats around the newsroom; including education reporter and on occasion even sports anchor.
Before Music City, Rodney spent time at WDTN in Dayton, Ohio where he worked as a "one-man band." Writing, shooting and editing stories. Believe it or not, Rodney even shot his own live shots.
Before to Ohio, Rodney was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WJTV-TV in Jackson, Mississippi. Before WJTV he worked as the Crime Stoppers reporter and weekend producer for WLBT-TV.
Rodney's work in Mississippi helped win The Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Award in the Documentary Category. He's been featured in several publications including the Communicator and Nashville's SixFifteen Magazine.
Rodney graduated from Tougaloo College in Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with an emphasis in journalism.
On a personal note, Rodney has a passion for serving the youth in the community. He's been involved with numerous community service programs with school districts as well as volunteering as a "Big" with Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a result of that commitment to the community he was honored by Iota Phi Lambda Business & Professional Sorority. The organization highlighted Rodney as one of their "Outstanding Business Leaders."
Rodney is also an avid runner. He's participated in a number of full and half marathons; including the Rock'N'Roll marathon in Phoenix, Arizona, the Gupton Dodge Tom King Classic Half Marathon and the Music City marathon.
He's a native of Chicago, and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
