TAMPA, Fla. — Almost 2,000 children from families in need will get toys this Christmas thanks to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.
ABC Action News viewers, who stuffed the station’s lobby with donations the past few weeks, were also a big part of that.
“Without ABC viewers who donated so much of their time and resources, we wouldn’t be able to serve so many families,” says the Salvation Army’s Capt. Andy Miller.
Toys will be distributed at a Tampa warehouse Thursday and Friday.
