Second student says he had sex with teacher, Jennifer Fichter; 20 new charges filed

A second student has come forward and reported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office that he had sex with his former teacher.

The PSCO Special Victims Unit filed 20 new charges Wednesday against Jennifer Fichter, 29.

According to an affidavit, a former student says he engaged in a sexual relationship with Fichter when he was 17 years old. She was his English teacher at Central Florida Aerospace Academy.

Fichter is currently jailed on charges that she had sex as many as 30 times with another 17-year-old student from the same school -- all in the backseat of her Toyota truck.

Fichter admitted to police she got pregnant with that 17-year-old boy's baby and had an abortion.

Investigators said the new charges stem from incidents which occurred from October 2011 to May 2012.  The victim says he and Fichter texted each other and eventually began spending time together, which led to a consensual sexual relationship.

According to the victim, the two would meet at Fichter’s apartment and also the victim’s home while his mother was away.

ABC Action News learned in 2008 in Fichter suddenly resigned from a teaching job in Orlando. She was accused of sending inappropriate text messages to an eighth grader, a boy she reportedly told a teacher she had feelings for and implied she wanted to have sex with him.

Fichter will appear before a judge at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Polk County School District fired Fichter on Tuesday.
