The Withlacoochee River has finally stopped rising but it isn't going down yet. The water crested on Wednesday at 17.67 ft but isn't expected to start receding until Friday.

Phillip Armiger’s family owns a house  on Cyril Road. He said,"It's actually about 4 feet deep over the road right now."

There is no exact count yet on the number of homes flooded, but nearly 2000 homes were threatened by the water.

U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster visited the flooded areas on Thursday. He said, "The storm isn't over here." Congressman Webster said he worked with FEMA to extend the disaster relief for these flood victims. "We’re not in the mode of rescue and recover right now we’re in the mode of actually finishing the storm damages."
