AM drive updates + what you need to know today

TAMPA BAY - SUNCOAST PKWY: The toll road remains closed between SR-50 and US-98 in Hernando County due to flooding from T.S. Debby last week. FDOT is working to pump water off of the roadway, and then must inspect and test the roadway base and asphalt for damage. FDOT does NOT expect any sections of the Suncoast Parkway to reopen until at least Friday. Traffic is diverted to US-19. I posted a picture of the flooding - taken Tuesday morning from Action Air 1 - on Facebook.

PINELLAS COUNTY: FDOT plans intermittent lane closures in both directions of Johns Pass Bridge, 7 AM- 4 PM. Delays possible.

CLEARWATER: Drew St. Extension closed between Cleveland St & Osceola Ave Tuesday-Thursday in preparation for July 4th events.

DUNEDIN CAUSEWAY will be closed from 9 PM Tuesday through 2 AM Wedenesday for Kiwanis Midnight Run.

TAMPA BEAR CAPTURE: All lanes of WB Busch Blvd. were reopened around 5:30 AM following the successful capture of a black bear. The bear is tagged from Chassahowitzka National Forest in Citrus County, and will be relocated to Appalachicola National Forest.

8:16 -- CARROLLWOOD: Stalled car on NB Dale Mabry near Bearss/Ehrlich intersection.

7:43 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND: Some congestion NB I-275 approaching Kennedy/TIA exit on #Tampa end of bridge, but overall looks OK.

7:28 -- PINELLAS PARK: "Obstruction" reported on Gandy Blvd E of US-19. No further info...

7:24 -- I-275 TAMPA: Crash reported near Howard/Armenia. Don't see it, but *do see slow traffic SB from I-4 to beyond Ashley.

7:16 -- INTERSTATES look good! Not seeing any delays right now. Must be a holiday week!

7:08 -- ST. PETERSBURG: Fender bender on 46th Ave N & 40th St

7:07 -- LAKELAND: Minor crash reported on SR-37/Florida @ CR-540A/Ewell

6:55 -- SARASOTA CO: Crash SB I-75 at MM 172 in Port Charlotte.

6:33 -- WESLEY CHAPEL UPDATE: Crash on SR-56 is in the Goodwill parking lot. No impact to 56. Getting busier SB 75 between 54 & Apex.

6:27 -- MANATEE CO: Crash reported in Bowling Green on SR-37 & SR-62

6:23 -- TAMPA UPDATE: Fire Dept just left the earlier vehicle fire on NB Memorial at the start of the George Bean Pkwy, near TIA.

6:18 -- WESLEY CHAPEL: FHP looking for crash on SR-56 near Cypress Ridge/Oak Willow, just east of I-75 overpass.

6:13 -- TAMPA: Fire Dept remains on scene of earlier vehicle fire on NB Memorial at the start of the George Bean Pkwy toward TIA. Tow truck has arrived.

5:38 -- TAMPA: Car in flames on NB Memorial near TIA. Fire Dept. has just doused flames. Open lane is open.

5:25 -- TAMPA: MLK Blvd/SR-574 reduced to one lane in each direction between 34th St. and the RR tracks for road construction. Closures are 24/7 until further notice. 

5:22 -- INTERSTATES and bridge are quiet.
