TAMPA, Fla. -- Florida Highway Patrol troopers continue to investigate a fatal crash that caused major delays Monday morning on I-275.

The crash involved a Ford Mustang and a disabled truck, according to FHP.

It happened around 7:16 in the northbound lanes of I-275 near Himes Avenue.

According to FHP, Ivan Olvera Rangel, 27 was entering I-275 from Dale Mabry at a high rate of speed. They said he cut through the median and collided with the back end of the disabled truck.

The impact of the crash sent the disabled truck forward hitting the truck's driver who was standing outside the vehicle.

Rangel died at the scene.
