ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - CSX repairs to worn out railroad crossings on 22nd Ave. N. west of I-275, will force drivers to detour from Monday, July 15 until Thursday, July 18.
Variable message boards will inform motorists of alternate routes and uniformed officers will be on hand to maintain traffic flow.
The closure of 22nd Ave. N. is between 22nd and 25th streets N.
Businesses east and west of the railroad crossing are accessible.
All interstate entrance and exit ramps will remain open during the project; however, motorists approaching the closure needing interstate access will be detoured to 38th Ave. Interstate motorists needing to travel west on 22nd Ave. N. should exit at the 38th Ave. interchange and use 28th St. N. or U.S. 19 as alternate routes.
The railroad crossing repair project was originally slated for completion in mid-June. See more at this link from the City of St. Petersburg.
