Lissette Campos is the Director of Community Affairs for ABC Action News. The Emmy award winning journalist anchors the station’s community affairs segments, “Positively Tampa Bay” and is also at the helm of the station’s community awareness campaigns produced throughout the year.
After moving to Seattle from Kashmir at the age of 2, Sarina Fazan learned English by watching Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters. While other kids were playing with dolls and puzzles, Sarina was practicing her future career with a microphone she made from aluminum foil.
Born in San Francisco, Linda Hurtado studied at the University of Georgia before working in Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa. She is one of the original members of the ABC Action News team.
Brendan McLaughlin did stints in San Francisco and Austin before helping start the WFTS news operation in 1994.
Deiah Riley co-anchors the morning and noon newscasts.
Wendy Ryan co-anchors the 6 and 11 o'clock editions. She also launched the popular “Dirty Dining” franchise shortly after joining ABC Action News.
Dan Shaffer co-anchors Action News This Morning, beginning at 4:55 a.m., and Action News at Noon.
John Thomas has been with ABC Action News since 1999. In that time he has covered nearly all of the major breaking stories in the bay area including the elections of 2000, Jessica Lunsford, Terri Schiavo and several Tampa Bay area storms.
ABC Action News added evening anchor Jamison Uhler to its award-winning news team in May 2010. Jamison co-anchors the 5pm and 11pm weeknight newscasts. Uhler joined the ABC Action News team following four years as an anchor/reporter at WCAU-TV, the NBC-owned station in Philadelphia.

Alan Taylor, also known as 'Captain Al' is pilot / reporter of the ABC Action News helicopter, Action Air One. He’s been flying for the Action News team since 2002.
Weekdays between 5-9 AM, Meredyth brings viewers traffic reports from the ABC Action News studios using real-time data from a variety of resources including local law enforcement agencies, traffic cameras and roving Action News photojournalists. While Mere is keeping an eye on the roads from the studio, Capt. Al Taylor is monitoring traffic conditions from the sky in Action Air 1. Follow Meredyth's traffic tweets @TampaBayTraffic.
Bill Logan has been a familiar face with viewers in the Tampa Bay area, anchoring newscasts, presenting weather, and telling stories on the local airwaves since 1987.
Denis Phillips is the Chief Meteorologist at ABC Action News. He can be seen weeknights on the 5pm, 5:30, 6pm, and 11pm newscasts.
Wayne Shattuck is a meteorologist at ABC Action News.
