The NBA fined Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy $35,000 on Friday for publicly criticizing referees this week.

The Magic were also handed an additional $35,000 fine for Van Gundy's actions.

The league penalized Bobcats head coach Larry Brown and Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins for their comments regarding preseason officials earlier this week.

After failing to negotiate a new contract with its referees, the NBA is using NBADL and WNBA refs in the preseason. If the lockout continues, the same officials will be used in the regular season, which begins on October 27.
