Former Bengals defensive end MIchael Johnson has agreed to a deal with the Buccaneers, a five-year, $43.75 million deal with $24 million guaranteed.
Johnson, an instant upgrade at defensive end with 26.5 career sacks in five Bengals seasons, was one of the few young pass rushers available.
Also in play for the Bucs is Bears free agent quarterback Josh McCown and CB Charles Tillman.
Tillman could end up being a replacement for Darrelle Revis, who is currently being shopped around.
At this hour, the Browns and Raiders are in serious bidding discussions with the Bucs for Revis.
