Gustafson climbs to 18th in world rankings

Sophie Gustafson beat world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa by four shots Sunday at the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge and climbed 15 places to No. 18 in the world rankings.

Ochoa held steady in the top spot, while Jiyai Shin and Suzann Pettersen remained second and third. Cristie Kerr moved up a spot to fourth, knocking Yani Tseng down to fifth.

Paula Creamer, Angela Stanford, Karrie Webb, In Kyung Kim, Ai Miyazato, Song- Hee Kim, Na Yeon Choi, Anna Nordqvist and Eun-Hee Ji remained in positions 6-14. Catriona Matthew moved up one spot to 15th, dropping Helen Alfredsson to 16th, while Lindsey Wright stayed put in 17th.

Gustafson's climb to 18th kicked Shinobu Moromizato and Kristy McPherson down one notch apiece to 19th and 20th.
