Legarrette Blount, Donald Penn and Luke Stocker all participate in practice

When Legarrette Blount limped off the field after what looked like a vicious shot to the knee, Bucs fans around the world held their breath. While Blount didn't return to the field, the injury (which turned out to be to his groin) was said not to be serious. That can now be confirmed by the simple fact that Blount was already back at practice today,  according to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune . Although Blount was outplayed on Friday by first-round pick  Doug Martin , he will likely still play a major role in the team's offense going forward.

Two other players also practiced after sitting out Friday's game: T  Donald Penn  and TE  Luke Stocker . This was Penn's first practice since the beginning of training camp, as the veteran left tackle suffered a calf injury during the offseason. Although Demar Dotson filled in admirably, having Penn back should still be a big boost for the Bucs' offensive line, which disappointed on Friday. Meanwhile, Luke Stocker missed a few days with an undisclosed issue described as 'not feeling well' - which is probably code-speak for 'concussion'.  Danny Noble  got a lot of playing time in Stocker's stead on Friday and was surprisingly productive as a blocker, so Stocker now has some competition for his role.
