TACOMA, Wash. - Washington state is looking to hire people who know how to grow quality marijuana. State officials met with interested companies this week at a convention center in Tacoma.
Back in November, Washington state residents approved recreational use of marijuana. Now the state is moving forward with plans to establish a supply chain along with stores.
The state is looking to hire people to help in four categories:
- Product Industry Knowledge
- Product Quality Standards and Testing
- Product Usage and Consumption Validation
- Product Regulation
Washington state has allocated $100,000 this year alone to hire 'marijuana consultants' for the Washington State Liquor Control Board. The state is taking proposals from companies until February 15.
