TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- The only woman on Florida's death row is appealing the sentence she received for the murders of a Jacksonville couple who were buried alive.

The Florida Supreme Court set aside up to an hour Tuesday to hear arguments in the case of Tiffany Ann Cole, 27.

She was sentenced to die for her role in the 2005 murders of James and Carol Sumner after the couple had been robbed of jewelry and cash.

The victims were kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to their graves in Georgia in the trunk of their car.

Two men also have been sentenced to death in the case and a third is serving a 45-year prison term.
