Suspect shoots at officer, K9

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities in Orlando are searching for a suspect they say shot at an officer and a police dog.

Orlando Police Department spokeswoman Barbara Jones said the officer was exercising the K9 on Wednesday just before 3 a.m. Shots were fired at the officer, and Jones said the officer took cover and returned fire.

There were no injuries to the officer or K9.

A description of the suspect has not been released.
