Last Update: 5/06/2009 8:03 am

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Police officers shot and killed a driver who plowed into club-goers at an Orlando nightclub, but authorities don't know why the driver did it.

Three Orlando police officers involved are on administrative leave as state officials investigate the shooting.

Police say two officers fired at the driver early Wednesday morning as club-goers were walking out of Cinco de Mayo events at the local clubs. The unidentified driver hit two parked cars, leaving one person with a minor leg injury.

Police fired at the driver, who crashed the car into a planter on the sidewalk. He was transported to a hospital where he died.
