PUNTA GORDA, FL -- Detectives arrested Jeffrey Skipper of Ft. Myers after a July 20th incident where they say he flew a plane "in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another", according to Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

Skipper was flying a small single engine Cessna 172 so low residents called to complain he was doing flips over a residential area, barely 50-feet off the ground and nearly hitting tree tops.

An arrest warrant was issued after detectives gathered enough evidence to file charges.  In the warrant, the control tower operated said Skipper smelled of alcohol.

Skipper is charged with operation of an aircraft while intoxicated or in a careless or reckless manner which is a third degree felony.
