Mother, twins die in fire

Last Update: 6/26 7:21 am

PINE LAKES, Fla. (AP) -- The mother of twin boys who died in a mobile home fire in central Florida also has died from injuries she suffered in the blaze.

Authorities say 24-year-old Brandi Kerr died Thursday at a hospital. Fire officials say one of her 18-month-old boys died at the scene of the fire Wednesday, and the other died hours later at the hospital.

Two others were injured in the fire. A 57-year-old woman was taken by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition, and a 32-year-old woman was transported by ambulance. Their conditions were unknown because of privacy laws.

Fire officials described the Pine Lakes home as completely decimated. It exploded and caught fire Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
