JACKSONVILLE, FL (AP) -- Authorities say a child left unattended in a car has died in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reports that emergency crews found the 2-year-old child dead at the scene Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office reports that the child's baby sitter had returned from a shopping trip around 1:30 p.m. with the child, another toddler and her own two teens. She realized two hours later that the child was missing and found him in the car. Authorities say she brought him inside and tried CPR but the boy died.

It's not clear if the woman will face any charges.
