ORLANDO - Jose Baez and Dorothy Clay Sims have withdrawn as Casey Anthony's attorneys, according to reports.
Without citing sources, the celebrity website TMZ.com reports that Baez "has decided to REMOVE HIMSELF from Anthony's legal team." Note the use of capital letters.
The Orlando Sentinel tried to contact Baez for confirmation, but he had not returned the calls.
On Wednesday, the New York Post reported that Casey planned to fire Baez over his dealings with the media and his apparent failure to land a lucrative interview deal.
Also on Wednesday, another Anthony attorney, Dorothy Clay Sims, filed paperwork to withdraw, according to WFTV.com .
The reports follow the unsealing of eye-opening depositions on Wednesday from two psychiatrists who evaluated Casey.
One psychiatrist said Casey Anthony told him she became pregnant with her daughter, Caylee, after passing out at a party when she was 18 years old.
Psychiatrist Jeff Danziger said in a deposition that Anthony didn't know who fathered Caylee.
The doctor said tests gave no indication that Anthony was mentally ill as she faced her murder trial.
Casey also said she thought her father was responsible for her daughter Caylee's death.
"He held her underwater," Casey told Danziger about her father George. "Maybe he was doing something to her and tried to cover it up."
She claimed her father later disposed of Caylee's body, telling her "Daddy will take care of it".
Transcripts of the depositions had been sealed but the Orlando Sentinel asked the court to make them public.
Casey was acquitted last July of killing her 2-year-old daughter. Caylee went missing in summer 2008, and her disappearance wasn't reported to authorities until a month later
